NJ "Luxury Tax" surcharge on vehicle price > $45000 and EPA rating < 19 MPG
The final paper work included approximately $200 as luxury tax (0.4% on $500676). The dealer seems to use a third party registration service of some sort (AutoRegUSA) that automatically calculates luxury tax if it owed. So now I am left wondering why the Luxury tax was assessed in the first place and how do I avoid it.
Rattling upon acceleration - Jeep Wrangler Forums (JL / JLU)
The super quiet drveshaft designs used in luxury cars are not a solution for off-road work....spinning bits with rubber components and tight clearance centering.....not something to bounce off a rock or log!
Ride quality of the JL compared to other models
Wife and I both have enjoyed the ride. Both Jeep owning and non Jeepers are impressed with the ride. I am looking forward to completing the trip in about a week. I have driven Town cars, Caddies, Saturns, SUVs, and more but the Jeep ride is better than all but the luxury cars, and more fun than any of them!
Jeep Wranglers have the highest resale ... - JLwranglerforums.com
Most models on the slowest depreciation list will come as no surprise to anyone with even a passing interest in cars and shopping. Popular vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler, Porsche 911, Toyota Tacoma, and Honda Civic comprise the list of slowest depreciating vehicles over five years, while a who’s-who of luxury brands brings up the rear.
Why All The Red In The Rubicon's - JLwranglerforums.com
It’s not a “luxury” leather like you would find in ...well luxury cars. (3) depending on the specs, when I priced mine out, the Sahara was only 2 grand cheaper. I thought to myself, I’m spending close to the same amount of money where on one hand I’m getting a lot more “Jeep” and on the other, I’m getting a leather dash.
Wrangler Price Increase Coming? - JLwranglerforums.com
The worst that will happen is new cars become unaffordable and then all of our used ones go up in value. This is a win win. CEOs don't need multi million dollar parachutes, make better cars and compete.
2.0L Engine Knock at 16,400 Miles - JLwranglerforums.com
Over the years, I have had a few cars, new and used. I have had Ford, Chevy, Nissan, and Mitsubishi. So, in September of 2022, I decided to join the Jeep community and order a 2023 Jeep Wrangler, JLU Willys. It also happened to be the first time I have ordered a vehicle from the factory. My Jeep ended up arriving in November 2022.

There's nowhere in the America that is that far from a fast charger at this point. It's the same reason they don't sell passenger cars with 30 gallon tanks anymore. Nobody needs 600+ miles of range. We do a lot of 600+ mile roadtrips in the Jeep, never once have I thought "I wish I could run this entire 10+ hours straight without stopping".
"Jeeps are the most overrated and terrible cars there are"
I sounds like you have never rode in a Hyundai Accent or Geo Metro 2dr. I have been there and done that. I would drive a Jeep over those two cars every time. Well there are other that I could add to that list too. So cars are not as good as a Jeep being used as a car. But at the end of the day, none of the cars will go where a Jeep will go.

They can probably be found buying gaudy luxury brand clothes at your nearest outlet mall. You gave them way too much attention by posting the decal here. Last edited: Jul 10, 2021
