Yes, I, too, have heard the C70's will be discontinued. It's really a shame, but it will make my '99 C70 convertible even more special! They are a relatively low production item. According to Volvo Cars of North America only 3,269 C70 convertibles were sold in Model Year 1999! Don't have the Coupe figures.

The Volvo dealer says the sun and heat in Florida are the problem. Their fix is $300. for an improved adhesive for the 8 snaps that hold the center section to the roof, labor , 2 year warranty, and a loaner for the overnight repair.

I owned a C70, FULLY LOADED ($48K) for all of 7 months.. pile of crap to say the least...Maybe Ford will bring some innovation and reliability to the Volvo product. Been there.. done that. Also, the torquesteer on the C70 is a joke. If Volvo wanted to take the world by storm with the new coupe, they would have chosen AWD.

Aprox 2 weeks later the engine light came on.It went back to the garage and was put on the diagnostic machine , it came up Bank 1,Fuel Rich,front Lambda sensor. Because there is dealer money, this vehicle can be purchased thousands below invoice. These vehicles have one annoying problem, they leak. They leak in car washes and some rain storms.

You cannot just replace the Mast like on every other Volvo. The C70 is the only model that you have to replace the entire assembly. It is a little of a pain. You have to remove the left inside trunk panel. Then have to loosen and move the Amplifier to get to the Antenna motor. Im not sure how good an aftermarket one will work.
